This design brief and summative assessment rubric provides evidence towards achieving focus area 5.1. This summative assessment was designed for a year 5/6 class studying Federation in History.
The assessment task was to create a Voicethread. Voicethread was chosen to address student diversity through UDL. The design brief and rubric is provided to students before they begin their final assessment so they understand the requirements, and they have a guide as to what is required throughout the assessment. For marking, the rubric is a clear and accountable grading system and provides relevant feedback to students.
